WILDERNESS CLUB

"WILDERNESS IS A NECESSITY. I AM LOSING PRECIOUS DAYS.

I AM DEGENERATING INTO A MACHINE FOR MAKING MONEY.

I AM LEARNING NOTHING IN THIS TRIVIAL WORLD OF MEN.

I MUST BREAK AWAY AND GET INTO THE MOUNTAINS

TO LEARN THE NEWS."

SCRUBBY WILDERNESS CLUB

The wilderness is a place we can get our fingers in the dirt. Where we can feel the spray of a majestic waterfall on our face. It is where we learn skills of survival and of great care. Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "Adopt the pact of nature: her secret is patience." Good things take time. Raising our little Scrubs (kids) takes great patience and time. Learning new skills as a little Scrub requires patience and to get back up when we fall. Nature and being wild and free in it allows our spirits to grow and our love of this beautiful earth to deepen.

In the Scrubby Wilderness Club we will use the Scout mottos each month to learn different life skills. Students will learn the importance of curiosity, kindness, adventure, and more. We will also explore self reliance skills and hope to have some wilderness guests along the way!

In this club we will focus on a new skill each month. Every FIRST Saturday of the month! We will have the Scrubby Oak Daddio teaching along with other fathers in the group to be involved with the education of their sprouts. Wilderness Life Skills will be the main focus of the monthly lessons.

To join us weekly there will be a fee and a commitment from the parent/s of your kids to attend the class!

As of right now this years group is FULL. Check in again for next school year (24-25). Thank you!
